“Dorothee, a newfound friend, someone who welcomed me into her home and prepared a special meal she shared with me during my art residency in Iceland. Dorothee is an immigrant, and so am I. Her presence and her home, were had genuine warmth, her being full of light. A fellow immigrant and a friend. I made this painting for her during my art residency there.”
